The same distance, unless my husband has his tv so loud I have to get closer to actually hear mine.

Room is set-up for 5.1 so I don't move the sofa.

The only variation for me comes from when I watch a show on my iPad/iPad mini/iPhone.
Given the disparities in screen size and where I may or may not be watching, I hold the device nearer or further.
