I'll just be at the ballparks all week anyway, so whatever they serve at Wrigley and the Cell is fine by me. :)
The last time I was at either field, they gave me both ketchup and mustard packets with my hotdogs. You'll be fine.

Important distinction, though: They won't put it on the hot dog. They'll give you the option to defile it in such a way, but they won't actually do it for you.

This is true.

MLB, I suggest you put ketchup on the hotdog. I think you will be surprised at how little people care.

I am addicted to pizza and don't want to be cured! At home Friday is pizza night and while at college I usually go the local pizza place once a week. Pizza is like a family member to me.

I would say yes, becuase I want to switch to an all natural diet, while cutting out all meat except fish. But Its going to be hard, my blood has 17 iron level. I eat alot of meat and little veggies. I love bacon. I love a burger that has mushrooms, onions, and melted cheese over that. Its going to be hard. escpically since I don't have any recipes.

Well, as for burgers, there are several burger-like vegetarian choices available, usually made from soy/tofu. It doesn't exactly taste like meat but they're pretty good. And you can still put all that other stuff on it. ;)
As for recipes, there are tons of recipes, both vegetarian and vegan, available on the net. It's actually not that difficult to cook vegetarian or even vegan, there are plenty of easily made dishes. I hear that peta's veggie starter kit is pretty good. It's available via their website, they also have recipes.

I've been vegetarian for years and have recently made the decision to go vegan in a half-assed manner, so I guess in the OP's eyes, I have issues with food. However, I don't see it that way at all.
Those are choices I made, after years of deliberation really, for ethical reasons and I'm happy with them. Well, with the vegetarianism, anyway, it's too early to tell regarding veganism. I love food and have always done so, my relationship with food is fine.

I think that, on average, people don't think about their food enough, about what it's in it, how it's produced and what that means for our environment and the economic make-up of the world. Not to mention health considerations.

Well hopefully recipes for cooking in a walk(look like a big salad bowl, where you can both steam veggies and chicken at the same time, occasionally see them in Asian food resturants)

My father owns one, and he has thrown down some recipes that would fit under vegan, only problem, he didn't write down what he did, and I dont remember.

Well, I think in Wok recipes you can just replace the meat with tofu. The fact that meat, according to that way of cooking, is usually chopped into small pieces or cubes lends itself well to tofu. Tofu, in and of itself, has little taste, and I'd recommend either buying the smoked variant or marinating it before cooking (it doesn't have to be long) and after chopping it into small pieces so it takes on the taste of the marinade more easily.

That's how I do it, anyway.

Well, now you know how to spell it AND how to say it. :p

Why does this thread suddenly feel like a bit on Sesame Street?

I am all about education.

Just be glad I don't have a Wok sing-along song.

Couldn't resist quickly mocking this up...

Alrighty then.

I still don't get it, though. I've heard time and again that they don't put ketchup on hotdogs down there, but I still don't know *why*. What IS it about ketchup that's so bad? Do Chicagoans just not like the taste? Is there anything they will eat ketchup with (like french fries or hamburgers)? If so, then why do they single out the hotdog?
