Do you hate predictable endings?

I'm a huge HIMYM fan, but I missed the finale, but from what I've read online, it sounds really aggravating.

It would've worked fine for me if they used it after 3, 4, even maybe 5 seasons, but the writers have said that the show went longer than they expected, but then they used the conclusion they'd planned on from the beginning, which by then felt like a backslide for several characters.

Here's one I just remembered from a few movies I have seen in the past. The really terrible bad guy who has done terrible things all through the movie is a secret good guy because in the final 20 minutes they suddenly take out the main bad guy despite being a huge douche the entire movie and hindering the actual good guys all through the film. I'm sure books have done this one too.

The big reveal is they were undercover the whole time. It really grinds my gears. Many cop shows use this too, and makes it so predictable.
