No, I feel sorry for the Iraqi people and US and allied soldiers who have lost their legs or the ability to walk permanently in large part because of Dick Cheney.
Oh no, he gets to sit on his ass while he takes advantage of other people's hard work. Otherwise known as the same thing he's done for the past eight years and then some.
Sorry Wheels, Locutus can't roll up any care.
In the rush to leave the White house apparently VP Dick wanted to pack his own stuff so nobody else would get an eye on those boxes full of Halliburton/Guantanamo shit. Now he's after poppin a disc in his back, doctor recommend Dick get himself strapped into wheelchair for the next couple of days. Cheney is all Boo-hoo
And this is supposed to bring the country together, how?NO. I wish I could push him down the stairs.
I seriously doubt that a few if any of the wounded soldiers at all feel that way for Cheney. If they don't you certainly shouldn't...
I agree entirely. OTOH, I think Cheney might be found to deserve physical harm - after a proper trial. I think the standard punishment for treason would count as "physical harm", anyway.Say what you want about a person's politics, but to wish them physical harm...that really crosses the line.
I feel sorry for him. I mean I wouldn't want to hurt my back and roll around in a wheelchair, so why would I wish it on anyone else?

If we want to bring the country together, then this is not the way to do it.

I have expressed, in other threads here, my belief that President Bush has tried to do his (feeble) best for our country. That belief does not extend to Dick Cheney, or certain other members of the administration, who I believe acted in their own best interests, whether those corresponded to those of the nation or not. I would not convict them (or, for that matter, clear Bush himself) based on just my own feelings, but I strongly believe that the new president should allow a full investigation of the previous administration to occur, and if need be, justice to be done. I would hope you would agree, since by what I feel sure will be your assertion, the investigation would find no wrong-doing, and justice would still be done. Things have been ... unusual enough, in the last eight years, that an investigation would be good just to clarify our current situation, if for no other reason.Treason eh?
As do I.I think he is referring to how Obama's change and hope rhetoric supposedly bring the country together is in direct conflict with wanting to push Cheney down the stairs....
