The birth of Christ? No. It's too repeated in previous mythologies about other Gods born to virgins. The tale is clearly mythology. However, I do think that it is metaphorically true, Super-true, while not being literally true.

I like the Red Dwarf explanation of the missing page of the Bible - a disclaimer. I wrote a story about it in high school and was punished.

I believe nothing of the Bible to be true. Aside from the rewrites over the centuries - it's a collection of morality tales. To me believing in the Bible is like believing ER is a documentary. If it guides you to being a better person, thats great. If you take it too literally and become one of those hateful stereotypes - then all I can say is... balls.

No to the birth, the death and all the miracles in between. As for the part about the guy claiming to know god and how you have to do as he says? Well that story is as old as time, we just normally ignore those people.
