Do Vulcans eat bread with yeast in it?

You know, the living creatures that help bread rise. Would Vulcans insist on unleavened bread?

Nimoy is Jewish. Perhaps Vulcans keep kosher?:rommie:

Even as a kid watching TOS, I had a mental image of Vulcans more as keeping a kosher-type diet. Perhaps because I did not yet know what a vegetarian was, but being of Jewish descent I did know about kosher.

Where on Vulcan would the climate even permit the sort of agriculture necessary to grow anything that can be made into flour? :vulcan:

They obviously eat something, it's not like they're sucking nutrients from the rocks.

But I'm thinking more like Spock or T'Pol serving on a Fed ship, they still stick to their vegetarian ways, but what would be their approach to yeast bread?

1. There might be at the poles

2. There might be plants adapted to the hot and harsh Clinate across Vulcan.

3. They might have greenhouses and facilities since when Vulcan was still green and temperature.

Isn't flour just finely ground plants? Surely there are plants on Vulcan. . Maybe they use plomeek flour.

Plants, grains, vegetables and fruits are living things too. As a technological society, the Vulcans can produce water on a industrial scale, so modern Vulcan would have wet agriculture. Different question, do Vulcan eat milk, cheese, yogurt, honey, the produce of living things. Yogurt especially has live culture in it. I have trouble seeing Vulcans eating even unfertilized eggs.

The question sounds moot. Vulcans are not vegetarians, any more than they are pacifists.

At the very most, a few individuals of Vulcan descent have been shown pursuing a somewhat vegetarian or a somewhat pacifist lifestyle at some point of their lives. Others have been shown eating meat or pursuing a military career.
