So, in an altered timeline at least, the Beastie Boys exist in the Star Trek universe. I'm fine with that.

But in their song "Intergalactic" -- in our universe -- the Beastie Boys sing about Mr. Spock:

Like a pinch on the neck from Mr. Spock

Super educated, I'm smarter than Spock, Spock

Do alternate universe Beastie Boys sing about Mr. Spock?

I, too, have wondered this.

Maybe in the next movie Scotty will pipe up with "This reminds me of an episode of Star Trek!", pop the DVD in and they'll figure out how to stop Khan in half the time.

Maybe the Star Trek TV series is like Stargate's "Wormhole X-Treme" in-universe TV show, and Gene Rodenberry is a temporal agent from the future...

This reminds me of The Last Action Hero in which Schwarzenegger's character stands next to a cut out of Stallone starring in T2. They probably sing about C3-P0 Commander Koenig.
