distances in star trek online

Hey, I was wondering. How big is space in star trek online? If you start at one point and go as far as you can, how long would it take in real time? I'm just wondering how long it will take to explore everything there is. Will I be playing for weeks and still be seeing new things or will I play for a few days and know where everything is?

There are many places to visit in the game, including unexplored space. The areas themselves are large, but not limitless. I have reached the edges of each system before, but there is lots to explore, and they'll add more to come.

If you follow the story you could get a few months of play time if you dont play obsessively. However, if you just go exploring from the get go you could traverse the entire playable galaxy in a couple of hours, save for Borg space which requires you to be level 43.

Thanks for the info. I bet they will add whole new areas too later on, like the gamma quadrantn and maybe the delta quadrant. Man, I cant wait to get this game!!
