Display Cases

I'm looking to display my Star Trek stuff. Does anyone have any simple plans for open display shelves or cases or know where I can find them?

I've just started trying to aquire some particular vintage SW figures. I'm about to get the original Max Rebo band. Hope to find a good case for them. I'm not a real collector, never have been, and I'm not doing to invest for money, nor am I going to buy many , but seeing figures from the late 70's early 80's tickles me

If there are any stores going out of business (a rarity, I know) near you, you could buy one from them if they have one you like.

Not sure where you are exactly or what you're looking for, but this is exactly the type of thing people put on craigslist. It's worth a look, to see if you could snag something without spending loads of $$$.

Well, my boyfriend was searching for a good-looking solution for his car models recently. You said "open shelves", he wanted closed ones so the dust does not get in but I'll share our solution, just in case.

We didn't really find anything nice to fit with the rest of his furniture. So, we bought regular wall shelves from a local store and today he is going to a "glass factory" (I don't know how these are called. It is a small business that makes custom things with glass - like placing glass doors in houses, cutting mirrors for your wardrobe etc.) to talk with the people there to have something custom-made. The plan is to have some sort of a glass "box" placed on top of the self that will be securely fastened on the shelf so it won't move.

It is a cheap solution as well, as long as you find a glass factory to do the job (because they usually don't bother doing small things like that). But it is worth the trouble because it looks good.

Good luck!
