Which, of course, begs the question: where's the Captain Planet movie?

You cant get regular comic readers to pick up issues with the b list heroes. Now Disney thinks the movies of these characters will make money. Artie and Leech coming to a theater near you!
I wonder if that would include the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver? They own (or, rather, lease) everything X-related.Are some of the more obscure characters in the x-men universe licensed under Fox too? Or does that only count the main guys such as the x-men and/or magneto and the brotherhood? Like do they own all the rights to any use of mutants in the whole x-universe?
I'd see that movie. But I don't want her legs covered up like Jennifer Garner's in Elektra.Disney, here's your girl.
Power Pack as done by Pixar.
I dunno, I heard a lot of "who the heck is that" reactions to Iron Man on billboards before the movie came out. When I was a kid (late 80's/early 90's), everyone knew who Iron Man was.
How many of the people saying that were under 30, though? Characters like Iron Man, Wolverine and Ghost Rider were big deals in my elementary and middle schools.
Well I'm under thirty and don't read comic books, but I knew who Batman was, and about Superman, Spiderman, the X-Men, Captain America, et cetera. Chiefly it boiled down to cultural osmosis and/or movies or cartoons that were around in my youth, and if Iron Man got any of that I'd never heard of it. So when I see people talking about it like it was a big deal I was sort of lost.I dunno, I heard a lot of "who the heck is that" reactions to Iron Man on billboards before the movie came out.

The people saying that were over thirty. (I can't think of anyone I know under thirty who even reads comic books.)
Which is why after I thought about it, some 11yrs ago, I realizd Blade wasn't as much a gamble as the comic fan in me thought. Once I switched to my movie brain it made sense. Hollywood had been making vampire films forever, almost since the industry had been around vamps had been on the big screen. Why not Blade? It was a no brainer. Nowadays I let my comic&movie process work more in tandem thanks to Blade.

^Captain America is out in 2011 as part of the larger Avengers strand (along with Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk etc).
