It was suggested that there be a thread for discussing IDW's "Discovery" comics here, rather than over on the DSC section.

So far, there has been...

I have enjoyed them all very much. It's great knowing that Kirsten Beyer, author of the post-series VGR novels and a member of the DSC writers' room, has lots of input into the IDW comics. She has deliberately seeded Easter eggs of future events into the comic book stories, some of which aren't noticed until after a second run-through of the episodes themselves.

For those wanting more Airium, her Mirror Universe counterpart has an interesting story arc in "Succession". Really looking forward to the "Aftermath" three-parter, too. More Pike, Spock and Number One, perhaps?

Since I'm a monster, I Wait For The Trade™, so I've only read the Klingon, MU, and Stamets comics so far, but I did hear that, for those of us wondering what class Tilly's father's ship was in The Way to the Stars, it made an appearance in "Captain Saru." Uh, we were all wrong. It's a funky comic kitbash.

I guess I'm part monster then, because I usually wait for the trade. I admit, it's mostly because I'm way behind on most of the stuff I read, but it's pretty rare for me to buy individual issues.
I haven't read any of the Disco comics yet, but they are very high on my list of stuff I want to read.
