I'm not one to take this thread seriously, but, on the topic, I find Discovery to be less moralizing than other Trek shows, and more pew pew action stuff with a few character bonding moments thrown in to break up the action.

Star Trek seems to be getting infested with extreme leftwing politik. Typical day in the overpaid NFL domestic assault, drugs, illegal dog fights, drunk driving, fathers a kid but refuses to pay child support, punching women's faces in and battery, assault with a vehicle, more steroids, illegal gambling, pot smoking, 8 or 9 different kids by 8 different mothers again refusing to pay support, gun grabbing, drunk driving again, more Arrested, Drugs again, illegal guns...seem there is a lot of politics in the tv show and the writers and some cast took a side on the whole take a knee thing. You must be new to Star Trek because Star Trek has always done commentary (using Sci-Fi as a mask) on various political issues. That dates all the way back to TOS. And it's usually a more 'liberal' than 'conservative' viewpoint - so yeah, you're either new to Star Trek or weren't really paying much attention to what you were watching.
