This webpage has some interesting takes on the internal layout of Discovery. Just search for the name. Unfortunately, they designed it as ONE MONOLITHIC WEBPAGE, so you have to be patient for it to load. Worth it, though.

You know what floors me about this site? the guy who created it did all this so that other people can use it to write the kind of sci-fi he likes. :wtf: If I'd done all that work I'd write my own novel series and screw every body else.

It's obvious that the camera is using a lens designed to make the space look bigger than it really is. This is not normal human eye perspective.

Again, we're just talking about illusion, camera tricks. It's not that the pieces don't fit. It's just the way they were photographed.

The problem with J2 was that the creators started with one illusion and kept doing stupid things to ruin it, probably at the behest of the network or toy companies. 2001 never had that problem.
