It's hard to see past my disappointment that this isn't the Enterprise F. I like the idea of Trek constantly redefining modern with sleek new designs.

This almost looks like something designed in the 70's...hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well at least they didn't name it the Enterprise. I'm not sure I could mentally handle that trip again.

I voted "Ugly and/or inappropriate, but not a total deal-breaker". Because I think it is ugly as hell. Not the basic shapes and configuration, but basically all the detail work is inappropriate for high-quality television.

Still, it's not a deal-breaker for me, I will watch the show regardless and decide if I like it as a whole. The ship might easily be re-designed untill then (or at least heavily improved), and even if it isn't, I will be sad, but still watching it if I'm happy with the rest of the show.

Yet, some folks may find it so. I agree, most people will look at an A-10 and see nothing sexy about it. I am one of those who finds it lovely because it looked like a WWII warbird. I may be an oddball, but I always found the A-10 a sexy beast , where as something like an F-15, I found sleek, yet souless and not really "sexy"

That A-10 is crazy! Looks like a prop plane with a couple of jet engines strapped on. Has a chunky late 70s look I like, similar to the various SW fighters, or the fighters from Buck Rogers and BSG.
The F-15 -- with its odd proportions, I definitely get a vibe of function over form, which is okay. Does not strike me as an overtly sexy design TBH.

Yeah, I always liked the A-10. Many folks say its ugly, but I never viewed it as ugly myself. I take this ship the same way. Now we know its a pre TOS ship, my only hope is they do not like it look like 1960's puked inside the poor thing.
