"Discovery" on CBS All Access AND Netflix in USA?

I think it's just poorly worded. The article doesn't specifically say it will also be on Netflix in the U.S., though the phrasing implies that. But it's been made clear for quite some time that in the U.S., our only option is CBS All Access. The article even says, "The show will premiere on Sept. 24 in two places — neither of them being on broadcast or cable television." That's not correct either. The premiere WILL be on the CBS television network, with the second episode forward being available exclusively streaming.

I don't think that will happen. CBS All Access is using this and their Good Wife spinoff to sell their service and try to compete. There isn't any real upside to them also having the series on Netflix in the US.

I'd say that is either a misunderstanding on the author's part, or poorly worded. The distribution model has been clear for some time, and there's no reason given their hopes for All Access for CBS to hand the show to its competitor.

Yup---I think they did not comprehend correctly that Netflix is only outside North America.

Question answered, and there's already a thread in All Access, Netflix, and how much we love/hate the distribution deals, so I'll close this one.
