I get the metaphor, & agree it's a great title for the very reason's you cite, but it is a metaphor, & I was just joking, like some others in this thread, about it not being a literal reflection of film it representsThe whole movie was about people being afraid of the future - of what may or not may happen. The line in the movie was about the future as an "undiscovered country". Something not to be afraid of, but a place to explore. (Also it's a wrong citation - in Hamlet "The undiscovered country" was a metaphore for "death" - but also with the intention of "exploring" it).
It's... very meta. But also a very fitting title.
