News Discovery isn't on TV because no-one would watch it

    I didn't say, that there isn't a problem at all anymore with sexism in series nowadays. I even specifically wrote, that I hope the situation improves further, implying, that the current situation is not yet perfect. It is still a fact though, that on average it is better now than decades ago.

    I didn't mention movies, but big blockbuster movies are definitely on average worst in regards to sexism than TV series. So there is even a bigger way to go.

    Why is the statement such a surprise?? Streaming is the future, it allows for niche shows to exist for fan's entertainment. Star Trek probably wouldn't last long on regular TV but of course we also know regular TV is dying as well. I've been arguing CBS made the right decision for a year now. We'll wait for some of you to catch up.

    voyager was the launch series for the united paramount network. haven't heard of that in years.....
