After "Context is for Kings", I'd almost go so far as to say I'm loving it. If half this season's episodes are as good as this last one, my greatest hopes will have been met.

DS9. Pretty handily, too. It was my very first TV love. But I like them all to various extents.

How 'bout a top five? Kira Nerys > Seven of Nine > Gul Dukat > Spock > Odo.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; Game of Thrones; Stargate SG-1; Babylon 5. I know those are the top four. After that, it gets trickier. Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, The X-Files, The Expanse, Breaking Bad, Battlestar Galactica -- they all make plays for fifth. And for wildly divergent reasons. But I'm confident in those top four.

Thanks for all the answers so far! Some interesting albeit not necessarily surprising data. I'm happy to see that 26 people are enjoying Discovery so far, versus three who unfortunately don't (yet?). Of those who said they did like it, Deep Space Nine (65%, 17 mentions) and the original Star Trek (50%, 13 mentions) clearly rank as the favorite Trek shows. And even among those who don't like Discovery, Deep Space Nine is mentioned most (2 out of 3 times).

While Deep Space Nine seems to be the favorite show, the original trio makes up the favorites characters among Discovery fans, with Spock (42%, 11 mentions), Kirk (35%, 9 mentions), McCoy (27%, 7 mentions) getting the most mentions. Closely following are Picard and Garak (both 23%, 6 mentions each) as well as Kira (19%, 5 mentions).

59% of Deep Space Nine fans even rank the show among their Top Five shows of all time. Overall the show is mentioned as a best show ever by 10 people. The original Star Trek (9 mentions) and The Next Generation (6 mentions) are also considered to be the best shows ever. Non-Trek shows that are mentioned most are Battlestar Galactica (7 mentions), Doctor Who, Babylon 5 and Game of Thrones (6 mentions each).

Roughly 50% of the Top Five shows mentioned are genre shows. 19% are comedies. 21% are shows currently still in production.
