Thanks for the info.to be honest, it was just alright. frankly, a little sterile. this was less for the fans than the entertainment industry folks in LA.
other than the concept art (which is sure to appear in some eaglemoss booklet or other art book down the line), there was nothing new here. the costumes and props are surprisingly detailed in person where a lot of movie and TV stuff feels made to only look good on screen, this stuff holds up in person. but it wasn't revelatory. the VR experiences were lacking, they were just 360' photos of sets we already know well.
there were monitors displaying VFX breakdowns from each episode and those were interesting, but again, i expect to see those outside of the exhibit real soon (btw i stared closely at the turbolift funhouse breakdown and still could make out no discernible relationship to the structure of discovery).
so i wouldn't say you missed much that you can't see in the many photos that have shown up online.
I hope I get to see that Turbolift Funhouse CG breakdown one day
