Sounds like something I'd expect to hear from the Royal Navy lolPerhaps they should dispense with numbers for warp factors altogether, and code-name them after animals or colors, or both. Or something else equally arbitrary.
"Captain, the hostile is on a direct heading toward the Sol system at warp green platypus."
"Pursuit course, ensign. Warp factor pink fluffy bunny!"
Kor
That was the explanation for almost two decadesBut if they're just saying suddenly that all Klingons past and future have always looked like this, then that's where I'd have a problem with it.
Just because.
Unacceptable! That was the explanation for almost two decades
Shit. I'd totally forgotten about that one!
Scary. I was hoping they did their own thing and not do a Berman again.Perhaps interesting, but someone on FB who says he has sources claims this: "Here's what I've heard: the first two episodes are very Abrams-like, dark and action-oriented. After that it becomes very "Berman-like." Which I'm not sure is great, but will probably reassure fans."
Not for you, but it clearly is for others.
What I'm about to say is harsh, but....
No, it isn't a problem. Problems are when your marriage doesn't work. Problems are when you're unemployed but need to pay your mortgage and feed your kids. Problems are a 2 month old baby dying. Problems are the fucked-up political problems in the world.
If you consider this a 'problem', I'm very happy for you, because that must mean you have no actual real problems in your life. If you do have real life problems, and still consider different looking Klingons a problem, I suggest you re-evaluate your priorities.
I'm going to use this the next time my boss tells me there's a problem with one of my databases at the university.
ThanksUm, just to reign the topic in a little, The Star Trek YouTube page just uploaded footage from the Discovery panel today in 5 parts.
It's essentially everything that the news outlets have reported coming from the panel, but I figured it'd be better to base our views off of the actual source than off of reports about it.Thanks. Of course, video "not available" in Europe. I really don't understand this "marketing"
I got around the region block by downloading the video. Which makes this kind of blocking even more pointless. I agree, it's nice to have a professional recording of the panel. From this and group interviews it seems the cast has great chemistry. It's essentially everything that the news outlets have reported coming from the panel, but I figured it'd be better to base our views off of the actual source than off of reports about it.
I just don't see them going the Berman route. They might not be able to sustain the action and darkness over an extended period but that doesn't mean a return to Berman Trek.Perhaps interesting, but someone on FB who says he has sources claims this: "Here's what I've heard: the first two episodes are very Abrams-like, dark and action-oriented. Perhaps by "Berman" they mean less dark and gritty and more like traditional Trek. In other words we'll also get the exploration of humanity, science, wonders of the universe, and everything else people are clamoring.I just don't see them going the Berman route. They might not be able to sustain the action and darkness over an extended period but that doesn't mean a return to Berman Trek.
