Discovery a Netflix hit

Super news, this! Do they have commercials? How long?
No, Netflix doesn't have any.

I do feel lucky in being a non-US viewer for. I very much understand the disappointment towards the CBSAA model.

I already had Netflix. I was very excited when they added the Trek back catalogue that it might get Discovery. I was even more excited when it was announced it would.

Same. It's the first time I've ever felt I'm getting a better deal than the States on a Star Trek show.

Strictly, we can't link the Netflix boost directly to Discovery, but it's a promising figure nonetheless. There weren't many other major releases around the same time, so a connection could be argued.

Great news!! For the first time in like forever, I get to experience what it's like seeing eps as they are aired (Ok a few hours later)... for decades we (Dutch people) had to waits MONTHS (!!!) for the VHS tapes to be released...! 2 eps at the time..! So Yeah... we're in heaven now!

I want Discovery to succeed, but I really would like them to move it over to Netflix in the USA. I know that's not going to happen, but the app does not work well on my ps4. It hangs on commerical breaks. The backlog of old trek episodes is nice but they don't have the remastered ones.

Indeed! When the All Access subscription was being debated here, I was just absolutely delighted that I wouldn't have to shell out for Sky!

There were figures posted somewhere that showed a positive viewership for Discovery, coming behind the Ozark (also quite a good show!) but it was only a single weeks projections, and I don't know how accurate that is as Netflix keeps the numbers off record.

You want to be careful when searching for things like that online.... If a partner sees your history that could be an awkward conversation

I remember an episode of South Park where the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes come to town, as well as the North American Man Boy Love Association. Confusion and hilarity ensues.

At the time I thought to myself that it's hilarious there was a group called the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes, and that the joke was them making up the other one. I wanted to know what a group called the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes were actually like.

I had no idea what NAMBLA actually was, and had a mild but general fear that law enforcement agencies monitored such a net search.

this was also the first time I actually looked up how to permanently and irrecoverably delete an internet browsing history.
