I recall seeing a thank you note that Nimoy wrote to Senensky during TOS, probably for "This Side of Paradise." Something about his thoughtful and sensitive handling of the story. Maybe it was included in the book I am Not Spock. I'd have to dig it out and look.

June was another who still had it all together to the climax. Dick Van Dyke, may be live to be 150, is also still tap dancing at a month away from 100.

Ralph Senensky was kind enough to reply to me about ten years ago when I posted a comment about his direction of a Partridge Family episode (kitschy show, but his direction of several episodes was excellent).

Senensky's unjustified firing from "The Tholian Web" remains one of Star Trek's biggest behind-the-scenes blunders.

Yes, at the end of the episode. Seasons 2 and 3 had the director credited right after the episode title and writer.


102 is an excellent run. All the episodes he directed were really, really good ones.

Also loved "PRINTER'S DEVIL", an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE (1959) he directed. (One of several that starred Burgess Meredith.)

They're at the end. Director, writer and producer are just before the final fade out. They changed it in season 2.
