This was a few years ago. I had bought a leather jacket and I had sprayed it down with that protectant stuff they sell you at the store without adequate ventilation.

Bingo.

I weather-proofed a large tent a year ago, outdoors of course. Was nearly overwhelmed by it despite precautions. Inhaling liquid-sprayed polymers, very dangerous. Even just doing a pair of boots, outside, without a mask on makes me mildly ill.
