Did you like Q or did you find him annoying? And by annoying I mean that an episode was more or less ruined by his presence.

You are right. I should have been more specific with my choice of words. *edits the first post a litte* :)

I love him. I cannot understand why he's never been included in a movie. I was a little uncertain when we first met him in "Farpoint," but after that...

Well, I just love him. And unlike the Squire, one of the things I like about him is that you seldom can figure out exactly what he was up to. He's a omnipotent entity of mystery!

Yes, he's a great character, although I think he worked far better on TNG than either DS9 or VOY. And I echo what JustKate says, he really should have been in one of the movies...

Great character! The best part about the Q is that their omnipotence is both their gift and their curse. They can do everything and therefore can appreciate nothing.

I didn't like him at all during the original run of TNG.

But watching reruns years later (and the Q DVD box set) he kinda grew on me given time.

He was a better written character than I first realized.

So, yeah, I like him now. :)

I can't help but have a weakness for a smarta**. It takes one to know one, you know.

I liked Q, but he can be very annoying at times. He reminds me of Loki from Norse mythology, aka Loki the Trickster, or the God of Mischief. He would create problems for the other gods and inhabitants of other worlds. When it seemed like things couldn't get any worse he would often provide the remedy and save the day. He was also a shape-shifter.

I always enjoyed the Q eps. As it has been mentioned, you were never sure what you were going to get with him. That made things interesting.

I liked him, but he was over used. It got to be that every season they HAD to have their requisite Q episode. That got a little dull. But I think they made some excellent Q episodes, such as Q Who, Tapestry, and All Good Things.

Let's rate the TNG Q episodes!

Great character that got better with time. Loved him in All Good Things and Tapestry.

I think that was the insperation for Q
