I've always been a fan of starship battles. Whether it be from Star Trek, Star Wars, BSG, Macross, Gunbuster, Gundam, or whatever.

From the cat and mouse engagement in the Mutara Nebula, The Enterprise-D's first encounter with the Borg, the Federation Fleet versus Jem Hadar fleet to retake DS9, Voyager in Fluidic Space, to the NX-01 versus the Xindi Weapon. The inner geek in me LOVES space battles.

How do the starship battles in this new movie shape up?

Yes, I enjoyed them.
Especially the Kelvin vs Narada battle sequence.

Keep in mind though that they are not your traditional Trek battles.
You'll see what I mean.
