Did Tuvok fall in love with Janeway?

Laughing Dragon

Captain
Captain
I wasn't a regular viewer of Voyager at the time, but I would occasionally tune in. And I seem to recall Tuvok helping Janeway with something and after he goes into his quarters all serious and mentions his unspoken love of the Captain. I don't know how accurate that is but I do remember the being in love with her part. What ever became of that? Or did I imagine it? I will probably be spoiling the series for myself. Oh well...

Funny thing is I remember Chakotay and her developing an attraction (or was it just me?) to each other but then he was paired with Seven.

Tuvok and Janeway was not one I recall.

Chakotay and Janeway definitely had some ongoing chemistry but Mulgrew was against it.

Tuvok had a wife (and children) back on Vulcan, and as far as I know, he was faithful to her.

Janeway and Chakotay... I think that they could have been a temporary thing, if you figure that the events of "Resolutions" are chronological. Here's a quote from a review on the episode:

"Robert Beltran has said in interviews that he didn’t think much of the romance, that they just held hands and it was supposed to be thrilling, and that Janeway was more interested in the primate than in Chakotay. And I’m wondering if he was actually paying attention while they were filming. Yes, they hold hands and stare at each other, and then next time we see them it’s six weeks later, and their body language has completely changed. In prior scenes, they’re being respectful of each other’s personal space, and even though their conversations are more casual than they were on Voyager, there’s still a bit of distance. But when we jump ahead to them planting a garden and Chakotay showing her plans for the boat he wants to build, they’re all in each other’s personal space, they’re both smiling a lot more, and they’re just more relaxed around each other.

I maintain: they were f***ing like bunnies for those six weeks."

I FOUND THIS! It is even referenced as canon in the comments! How could you have missed it?

Yikes apologies to his wife. I did not know that much.

The original script for Blood Fever had Tuvok chasing after B'Elanna.

Tim said "No thank you, I don't cheat on my wife, and neither does Tuvok."

The script was rewritten for Vorik.

Although...

He did give her syphilis in Flashback.

never once got the impression that Tuvok loved Janeway.

Friends, yes. Lovers? Not a chance.

Both of these sound about right. The only time Tuvok got any action was on the holodeck, when Tom recreated his wife to get him through pon farr.
