Did Trip and Reed never consider doing "it" to keep warm?

One of my earlier memories was of watching an episode of Taxi where that Ghost of Christmas past who kept kicking Bill Murray in the nuts was daring Judd Hersh to revenge sex her before they die trapped in a Taxi in a Blizzard because the Man on the Moon had already done the dirty on her and come clean.

Moving forward tot he 22nd century...

You really don't need lube in order to perform anal sex.
A bit of spit will do the job nicely, particularly if you are doing bareback sex.
I tried bareback sex once (just that one time ... everything else was/is safe) ... was great, and far easier than with a condom (I tested myself ever since and I'm clean/safe).
In the 22nd century, one would imagine numerous STD's don't present issues to humans as they do today.
So bareback anal sex would be doable.

But let's not also forget the extreme conditions they were in, and a notorious: 'None of our main Trek characters could possibly be gay or consider doing it, even though it's 150 years from now when things are supposedly far better and people more open minded.'

Oh man ... It would have been nice to see the captain (Scott Bakula) making out with another man ... particularly in the decon.
Hoho ... that brings some fun memories of slashes I used to read between Archer, Malcolm and Trip.
Say what you want, but some of those stories were actually well written with a nice description of sex.

I always thought they should have. I never bought Reed as a hetero anyways, and a Trip/Reed/Archer love triangle would have been awesome, ending in a happy nonmonogamous threesome.

You know ... I found the idea of Trip and Archer as a couple very hot.
They mesh best what with their friendship and flirtations in 'Vox Sola' while watching the game.
There were looks and homoerotic parts there (at least I think it was played in such a manner).

But admittedly ... I find the Travis/Archer aspect intriguing as well.
Just wish they gave Travis more lines and something active to do besides just sitting there and working the controls.

Reed ... yeah I think he would have been better off with major Hayes.
Now those two seemed to be suited for each other.

But for the 'Shuttlepod 1' episode ... yes, it would have been interesting if Trip and Reed went at it together.
