Did the shuttlecraft have a bathroom?

I love that the main viewscreen is a picture tube. lol

Cathode Ray Tube...

But it's only vaguely shaped like one, so the assumption is invalid in my opinion. CRT's were never completely flat in any part front or back.

My current TV (which is several years old now) is a CRT and is perfectly flat in the front.

I thought we had discussed this in an earlier thread. I believe we agreed that it looked like this:

They werent true flats. they only appeared to be flat.

Appeared to be flat? What is that supposed to mean? I worked on TV's for years and replaced many of the flat screen CRT's.

Besides, the drawing of the viewscreen that you are referring to "appears to be flat" so it meets your requirements for a CRT.

You worked on them and you never noticed that a flat screen is still actually curved? Well, I imagine you had no reason to note that fact.

Example illustration:

Left- conventional CRT
Right- flat screen CRT
Both have convexed glass.

And you are mistaken that the appearance of flat meets my criteria for being flat... In fact, that's exactly what I was arguing against.

Maybe you're thinking of a rear screen projector TV. Where as you know, three (convexed) lights project the reflected image onto the flat screen that is indeed truly flat. ;)

Yes- the actual glass cover on the tv is completely flat. But behind that is a slightly convexed glass where the image is actually being projected onto. It just appears to be flat. They got quite good at that, but it is NOT a flat screen.

Wow- this looks like it makes going to the washroom quite fun! But who really wants to use it after the first guy? :vulcan::lol:

This all goes back to your comment:

I simply wanted to point out that CRT's were made that were completely flat at the front, which they are. The front is flat glass, just as flat as an LCD monitor. Flat as a pancake. The front of older CRT's were curved, you can see and feel the curve in them. That's all I was trying to point out.

Now, to get back on topic...was the urinal in the shuttlecraft flat or curved? :)

^^ No, because you're looking at the inside of the craft and so the doors are on the correct side.
