Did anyone buy this late '70's bit of TREK merchandising?

When I was about 10 I use to see an ENTERPRISE model rocket in the rocket section at KAYBEE's toy store chain...it might have even been in the comic books too..not sure its been so long.

Knowing nothing about model rocketing at all of course I wanted it because it was the ENTERPRISE! Of course my mother never got it for me.

Thinking about it now the whole thing was kind of silly shooting the ENTERPRISE up in the air with a model rocket kit and all...but I figure someone out there on this board must have actually got this...anyone?

I remember that, but I never wanted to buy it since I was horrible at putting together any kind of model.

Ah yes, the old Estes kits, I've still got what's left of one, never finished putting it together though. Got it mainly because the decals were more accurate (if somewhat smaller) than the ones that came with AMT's kit, which is what I used them for. There was also a cool Klingon ship which was more faithful and less severly modified from the original than their Enterprise.
