Did anybody watch The Cage Extended Version? 1h13m

One would think Paramount would make an effort to keep that print secure, perhaps even make a copy. Would it be possible fora someone with editing skills to create an accurate version of the pilot shown to execs and test audiences in 1965 using what is accessible to the public (color footage from "Cage" and "Menagerie" versions, 16mm soundtrack) or would there still be the "few line trims" without any color footage available?

I remember that it was a peculiar choice when DSC revisited Talos* and gave the Keeper a deeper voice, joking that, apparently, they were trying to pander to the people who'd only seen "The Cage" off of Roddenberry's black and white print at conventions in the '70s and not anyone who watched "The Menagerie" or any of the home video releases.

I didn't get why they cast male actors as the Talosians instead of actresses dubbed with male voices as in the original -- or better yet, non-binary actors.

They should have also kept more of the same look, with larger heads (the new one looks too much like the Vians IMO). And I don't like that 'Klingon ridge' either.
