That's true, but there's something about Bond being played by an American that would rub me the wrong way.

Then again, we do have a Brit playing Batman now, so maybe an American Bond's time has come.

I would have liked to have seen a few more films with Dalton in the role.

^I like Dalton, but I find his performance lacking in charisma. That's not to say I wanted him to grin for the camera like Moore, just that he wasn't able to strike the right balance of ruthless killer and personal magnetism. Connery and Craig both nailed it, and Brosnan came pretty close.

As much as I liked The Living Daylights, and Dalton, I have to agree with most of this. I still would have liked to have seen him in another Bond movie.

Lazenby is really underrated, imo. I can't see Connery giving as effective a performance in OHMSS as he did. Given a few more films, he would have grown into the part. OHMSS deserved a lot more serious follow up.
