Diane Neal exits Law and Order: SVU

I found the news here

Too bad, I enjoyed her best of all the ADA's in SVU. :( She was the hottest of any of the others and had that fiery temper and attitude to her which turned me on. I wonder who will be used as her replacement and how she'll exit.

SHIT! :(

Casey Novak was totally hot.

Even if they couldn't get Alex Cabot back - which I really hope they do - they could always raid the Conviction cast. Hey, since Milena Govich isn't on L&O anymore, they could bring her *original* character back! :D

Damn, this sucks. I loved Casey Novak, especially in the earlier days when she had red hair (the blond dye job is awful).

Too bad bringing back Stephanie March isn't an option. Hopefully Novak's replacement has just as much fire as Cabot and Novak did.

It's tough to lose her, but she was there for seven good years. I hope she can move forward to a lead role in another series, or else make progress in feature films.

Stephanie March doesn't want to come back or is it the producers who don't want to bring her back?

The show currently has way too many cops on it. How about in between seasons Munch gets a law degree? :p

Or they could bring in Bebe from Trial by Jury.

Dick Wolf wants to bring in a new A.D.A., which unfortunately means that the following can't happen...

That would be wonderful. Too bad it'll probably won't happen.

Ah suckage. I hope this leads to good things for her, but I'll miss her presence on the show. She had the right combination of fire and likability that suited the show. I hope if they find someone new and good the person doesn't get replaced after only one season as CI has been doing lately.

Good riddance. I never liked her.

I was always a Cabot fan.

No disrespect to Neal, but, for my money, SVU is unlikely to ever find an A.D.A. as arresting as Alex Cabot.

Yeahhhh!

No, not quite. She joined in the 5th season, and it's the 9th now.
I was just going by what it says on Diane Neal's IMDb page:
"A.D.A. Casey Novak/ ... (103 episodes, 2001-2008)"

Was she just a recurring guest-star when she first appeared on the program?

She first appeared on SVU as a guest star. She played a woman who was charged with raping a guy with two other women.

I never really cared for her, so it won't be that big of a deal. I think the cast is a little convoluted now anyway... they should just bring in a rotating cast
of ADAs.

CI dumped the ADA all together. Does SVU really need one?

Also, for my money, the best-looking ADAs were March and Hennessey.

Do it like they did on the old Dean Martin show. Every time they go to the A.D.A.'s office, they open the door and there's a surprise guest star! ;)

I've probably seen like five SUV episodes total, and that was one of them! It was a good one IIRC.

I didn't see the episode but it's interesting that there is legal precedent then for the fact that a woman can rape a man. I always believed that it was possible, just not very common. Can anyone give me a hint as to what happened in the show?
