Dexter - Season 7 (with Spoilers)

i kind of felt sad when Isaak died. He was a bad bad guy for sure but he seemed to be not as despicable as other Dexter big bads. He kind of had a nobility to him, some depth.

I'm going to die! You can't save me! I have minutes to live... Bugger. tell me? can you bury me with my boyfriend since it's almost impossible to get me to a hospital on time? Thanks. Cheers. You're a mate."

(9 hours later, on Dexter's boat approaching the burial point.)

"Yup, any second now, there's absolutely no saving me now, it's a good thing we never tried, we'd still be trying to find parking at the hospital and I'd surely be dead and anxious..."

(4 hours later)

"Yes I can feel death coming. My time is up. It's the final curtain, this was the best choice, I had nothing to live for...."

No shit.

I was figuring they did that just to cover the boat in blood so when he got back to the dock he could be surprised by LaGuerta and a dozen uniforms with evidence all over him. Alas, that is the sort of constant game-changing that has been missing for the last few seasons.

I've got a feeling that LaGuerta's investigation will continue on into next season. Either way I hope someone kills her...she's soooooooooo annoying.

She figures it out but the proof keeps eluding her.

She announces Publicly, so Dexter sues her, and she winds up owing him millions and millions of dollars.

She wasn't this annoying on Ugly Betty, but then I have no respect for people with spray on tans...Almost the entire cast is orange.

i've been waiting for LaGuerta to die since season 1. at least she quit flirting with Dexter. always thought that was odd for some reason.

Haha I felt the exact same thing.

But over to the ending scene with Hannah;

Did anyone else get the impression that she didn't like Dexter opening up like that?
I got the feeling that she was attracted to Dexters nonchalant attitude, but when he opened up, that disappeared. Now all she sees is someone clingy, someone too emotionally involved.

It's obvious that Hannah has huge emotional problems, she probably hates herself. That's probably why she wasn't afraid when faced with Dexters knife. She doesn't believe she deserves to live

I didn't buy her story into the ex-husband trying to force her into an abortion.

What I think happened is that the ex-husband cared too much, and in her world she doesn't deserve affection, so she killed him.
Now Dexter is doing the same thing as her ex-husband, and therefore he will be her next target.

She can't stand that someone can love someone like her

Dexter and Deb looked especially orange in the scene where they were in the car talking.

As for taking time to go out to sea instead of the hospital I guess you can assume that he thought he would be too easy to kill if he got admitted to the hospital but still...you'd think it would be worth a try.

Dexter removes Victor's bullet, saving his life and discovers that his dark passenger still gets a high from just cutting, and not all out killing, and therefore rededicates his life surgery at Seattle Grace Mercy West Death.

I'm pretty sure they were trying to imply that Dexter's boat was docked very close to the shipyard. But your point still remains; it was pretty dumb.

Guess I was wrong about what I posted earlier. Don't think Hannah is planning on killing Dexter.

Of course, if she ever finds out about what he did to her dad, then maybe... But I don't think they will go that route.

I have a suspicion that she will go after Deb, not succeeding though, and then Dexter will have to off her after all.

I wonder who will take out LaGuerta

so, who's side do you think Matthews will take? On one hand, he wants his pension back, and helping to catch the Bay Harbour Butcher would be a great career choice, but on the other hand, LaGuaerta could stab him in the back again.

He and Dexter have strong ties, he might have suspected that something was off with him, given his past and whatnot. But again, he told Laguerta about Brian, he told her about the old crime boss. Would be stupid if he suddenly wants to help Dexter after all of this, so I think he'll side with her.

Wonder how Dexter will get out of this one

Matthews and Harry could have made up the code together.

He kills criminals the police are too slow and clumsy to take care of.

It's possible that Matthews was feeding Dexter jobs the whole time.

Yeah, it is possible. But why would he then put LaGuarta on Dexters trail?

Unless he did it in order to create a situation where Dexter had to kill LaGuarta to be free.

And who knows, if Dexter doesn't feel bound up by his code any longer, then I suppose it is possible.

But the code has helped him from being caught before. If he turns his back on it, he will get caught.

Maybe the last episode of this show will be Dexter strapped up on a table, then given a lethal injection by the State?

Killing LaGuerta wouldn't even be breaking the code. The first rule is not to get caught.

Unless he wants Dexter to kill LaGuerta, then Matthews can swoop in to personally catch the Bay Harbor Butcher as the win of a lifetime. Two birds, one stone. But after seasons 5-6, that would be overthinking the show.

^^ I don't know, that's sounding much better than the snoozers I've been sitting through the last few weeks. Although he seems to enjoy his retirement.
