Devious - Jon Pertwee's final Doctor Who story

Still, its curious how it doesn't quite sit well with the established continuity, is it? The Two Doctors seemingly cannot happen in Devious' version of events.

Haven't seen Two Doctors for ages - what's the issue ?
The Second Doctor was quite older looking, as was Jamie. Althought one may think they were from their time with Victoria, because of the reference to her, the story clearly references to the Time Lords, by Jamie no less, and the monitoring of the TARDIS by them. Not to mention the Doctor himself was able to pilot the TARDIS descently. So the Doctor was clearly operating after War Games, but before Spearhead from Space.

Devious doesn't look to take that into consideration, at all.

Correction: "Devious" doesn't take the "Season 6B" fan theory into consideration. Nowhere in The Two Doctors does it explicitly state that the events of The Two Doctors took place after The War Games. In fact, the mere mention of Victoria instead of Zoe makes that theory difficult (although I'm sure there's an explanation for that, too, but I don't really care enough about the theory to look it up). There are plenty of theories as to why The Second Doctor and Jamie look older, including the one provided in Time Crash. Of course, there's the matter of "working for the Time Lords" but that's for a whole another discussion. The point is "Devious" can easily fit with the series continuity as seen on the screen without consideration of fan theories.

Well, Jamie knowing about the Time Lords is kind of a big deal, really. Jamie should not act remotely as surprised as he did in War Games, considering.

And before you say that Holmes knew this, consider the fact that he also said in an interview that he deliberately had the Second Doctor woking for the CIA after War Games.

And then, there's World Game by Terrance Dicks, a novel that of course crystalized Holmes' Season 6B contraption.

I suppose it's redundant to say that the universe has been rebooted since then, and presumably all makes sense in the new continuity ?
