I've seen this trailer at both of my viewings of "Inception" and it's looks interesting throughout the trailer. Chiling, suspensful, good set-up, a hot chick in a wife-beater with ample clevage and then this moment happens in the trailer:

And my hopes are dashed.

I may still end-up seeing it because it looks mostly interesting which says a lot about the trailer itself but I fell off M.Night's bandwagon a long assed time ago.

I'm actually looking forward to this...he just came up with the story M.Night didn't write or direct this film so I have hopes it will be good. The next film in the series is called "The Twelve Strangers" and is being written by Chris Sperling who wrote the upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie "Buried".

I'm vaguely interested. I'll wait on the reviews, though.

P.S. Nobody cares that you don't like Shyamalan. You're not special, you're not clever, and you're not taking a stand against The Man. Shut the fuck up already.

:wtf:

Harsh much?

Doesn't hold a candle to Shyamalan's own retort to a reporter questioning the evolution of his career: "If I thought like you I'd probably kill myself."

This made news last week...

M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Devil’ trailer laughed at in New York City

A trailer for director M. Night Shyamalan’s new horror production “Devil” was recently laughed at by a New York City audience.

The trailer was attached to the “Inception” reels and on Friday night, the crowd at the 34th Street IMAX theater booed when the screen displayed “From the mind of M. Night Shyamalan.”
I still want to see it.

The mask at the end was a bit hokey. It'll probably make a mint because nobody's producing anything like this just now and it's a really popular format.

Apparently when the "Devil" trailer was shown at comic con this past weekend there were groans when his name was shown and then the crowd booed lol. I guess this is what you get when you have a string of over hyped flops on your resume and alienate an entire fan base after butchering a loved animated series.

I had pretty much the same experience from the crowd when I saw the trailer in front of INCEPTION. As soon as M. Night's credit card came up, the audience groaned.

The trailer looked interesting enough, I might give it a chance. Which is more than I can say about any of the movies he made himself since SIGNS.

Well it played in front of Salt last weekend and like the other 6 trailers got zero reaction one way or the other.

I don't doubt the Comic Con moans/laughter cause groups like that think its 'hip' to do. I know I've sat in there and heard them. As for a regular theater moaning I've never heard moans on any film, excitement yes, moans no. Who the hell are these snobs?

I'm mildly interested but want to hear more about it.

I can't say the audience I was with during my first viewing of Inception booed or had any noticable reaction to the trailer but I did turn to my buddy and said, "It looked good until I saw M Night was behind it," he said something to the effect of "same here" even when discussing the movie and trailers afterwards we talked about how much M. Night turned us off on the movie.

I guess he's pretty much become a joke now.

I think the twist should be that the person killing everyone is an angel and everyone else is a demon. So the killer is actually the good guy.

Come on M. Night, I've got loads of these and I work cheap.

Well, now I really don't need to see it.

It looks like the type of movie with very stereotypical characters that do nothing but get on your nerves until they are slowly killed off.

Nerd audience reactions are definitely not a finger on the pulse of the cinema-going public.
