Many movies have been adapted and turned into TV shows....what are some of the best, and of course, what are some of the worst examples?

Foul Play? This was an above average movie that was a TV show for about 7 episodes...awful.

MASH..I actually prefer the series over the movie.

STARGATE..hit and miss with me. I guess, overall, its in the plus column

MASH is the best example. Many people are not even aware there was a movie because the show is so legendary.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard the Highlander series is alright.

The Planet of the Apes series was pretty terrible. Talk about running a series into the ground.

And I so loved the APES movies, even the third-forth ones. That series was a giant turd...LOGAN'S RUN, even though a Saturday Morning attempt, was pretty lame too...
