Is anyone playing this?

What do you think?

So far enjoying it and up to the TF29 base where I have to hack the NSN server and plant a bug. I love the atmosphere in this game, and the city of Prague seems way more alive then the previous game where people just stood on the sidewalk or on street corners, and there was no actual "life" that you could feel in the city.

My only gripe was that at the start of the game they gave you some items that were "one use only" and if you start a new game you lose all those items. What a crock?

I have bought it a few weeks ago when it was in the Steam Winter Sale and it is a very cool game though i suck at FPS nowadays was my first bitter realization (being 20 was a looong time ago).

I have played Deus Ex since the first game was released (yeah, i'm old) and i love the series because it's one of the few cyberpunkish AA games left out there and i love the genre.

I'm not much further down the road than you are (put it on hold the last 2 weeks or so) but i like it so far with one exception.. you can mass murder your way through anything but find a calm spot and lay low and soon enough everything returns to normal.
That's just really dumb.. there's a pile of dead guards beside me and no one cares after a minute? I know the limits of game design but this one really bothers me.

Yeah same. There's a pile of bodies at one train station and no one seems to care, but they get jacked off if you approach them and try to talk.

Those bodies are for harrassing me because I got off the wrong train.

What has destracted me from this is Far Cry 3. I decided after many years of it sitting there and not touching it I would play it but now I just can't be bothered. Stupid story, stupid characters, and samey gameplay....... I'm at the part where you have to do an escort mission at a rice field. I just can't be bothered.

Going back to Deus Ex..

Also the very first game. If you talked to the rebels in the statue a lot of the stuff they talk about seems very relevant today even though it's conspiracy stuff. Makes you wonder kind of how widespread these ideas have become when they shove them into a game from 2000.

Haven't touched it. The initial reviews and DLC stuff put me off plus I've been told that it felt like an unfinished game storywise. I saw it on sale recently but it seems like they're shelving the franchise again so they can develop these comic book games, so I have no intention of playing an unfinished game or paying more than £5 for it.

Shame as I thought the last game was a worthy successor to the original game unlike IW.

Well according to Square the story in the game is complete. I haven't got far in the game but am interested in what people mean buy the story feels unfinished?
