Ya know, I've gone to the Bungie site to see what the deal was about Grimoire cards....and it's said that they supposedly offer insight into in-game benefits. I have seen or noticed ni such benefits yet.

And I can't find jack-squat about Cloaks and if they do anything for you other than flap around on you,

The problem with destiny is that I can't continue the story, because every time I try to go to the moon, I get the Hawk error

They're purely cosmetic unless you consider the lore to be a "function"

The new patch for the 360 seems to have stabilized the errors a bit, still not error free, but I got past the moon finally

They fixed Emblems, you guys.

Has anyone else heard about this story regarding Destiny's upcoming DLC being content that's actually already on the disc? If true, this isn't the first time something like this has happened, and it's a practice that I really wish the gaming industry would do away with.

It is indeed on-disc DLC. Not a new practice (Ubisoft is especially fond of the concept), but given Destiny's lackluster reviews in terms of breadth and depth of content, it looks... just a tad bit shit.

Regardless of the content's lackluster quality, if it's on the disc then it should be playable. People paid $60 for the whole game (in the US, anyway, I don't know how it's priced overseas), not for part of it. It's ridiculous, and I don't understand how or why gaming companies/publishers are allowed to get away with it.

They will be "allowed" to continue this way as long as market forces don't compel them to do away with it.

I agree that it's a sleazy way to go about things, but as always, in the end it comes down to consumer behavior.

Aye, that made me chuckle too. Glad to see they're sorting engrams, though. Getting tired of useless Rare items coming out of Legendary engrams. Reckon we'll still get stiffed with non-role gear.

Speaking of which, was playing the other day and received a double slap to the fact from Mr Cryptarch...

Legendary engram drops for me in a random mission, so I take it back to be decoded, and it gives me a Legendary piece of gear... for the wrong class.

Oh well, I suppose shit happens, and I still had the fact that decoding that engram pushed me up to rank 5 with the Cryptarch, so I had a reward waiting for me. Nice.

Reward gives me one Legendary and one Exotic, take them to Crypty, and get a rubbish Rare chest for the Legendary, and the Exotic gives me a nice, shiny pair of gauntlets... for the wrong class again...

Looks like I'll be making a Warlock in the near future.

Shiny exotic Just be glad they're not Bind on Pickup (i.e. to the character) and you at least have the option of moving them to another toon.

Got my Brawler's Cloak yesterday. That cloak literally came from The Moon.

Finally, after investing many hours in Destiny, I got a piece of Exotic armor to complement my Legenday chest armor. Now, If I can just get an Exotic or Legendary weapon!

I already have an exotic machine gun, which I then very quickly got a legendary of afterwards. Yesterday I picked up another exotic weapon bounty for the shotgun, and then got a legendary for that slot too.

So I'm going to have two exotics and two legendaries, but still be stuck rocking a blue primary weapon. Argh!
