Destiny - Let's Roll!

Honestly I'm really liking the new changes Destiny 2.0 has brought to the game, and what I've seen of The Taken King has been pretty cool. I'm seriously tempted to trade in both my old Xbox 360 (which I never use anymore) and my PS3 (which I've recently been using more as a Blu-ray player and streaming platform, which is obsolete now that the PS4 has a streaming app) and pick up the Taken King PS4 bundle. But I just bought a new TV yesterday after my old one died. Not sure I can afford making two big purchases this close together. 
Since when has sane decison making ever affected gaming purchases?
I have sold my PS4 some weeks ago when i realized i wasn't playing in months and when i did it was barely for more than 2 hours at a time. Last time i was powerplaying was with Dragon Age around Christmas/New Years and since then barely touched it.
I will keep an eye on the new Destiny developments and if the game really got better might re-enter it.

Until the whiners demand that it be nerfed....and Bungie caves yet again.
Year 2 Destiny has been super kind to me. I got Hawkmoon from Xur (Meh) Then the Ace of Spades from Gunsmith, then SUROS Regime Year 2 via a 3oC and finally Zhalo Supercell also from a 3oC. Then I got Sleeper Stimulant the same way everyone else did.
This is a grand total of 3 more exotics in the weeks I've been playing TTK than the 2 exotics I got last year in the month and a half I played.

3oC is a very smart addition in that it helps to imbue even a simple daily heroic* with a decent shot at awesome loot.
It's great for limited playtime sessions, like pumping out a daily before work.
*(alongside quite a few equally smart additions to the way daily heroics work, like new enemy placements and types as well as hidden objectives a la Spindle)

I got my first character on PS4 to level 40 last night (already have three 40s on XBONE) after 11 hours played because I am a stupid person.
Was fun to compare and contrast the re-worked lower level content with the changes they implemented in TTK. No more grinding required and they rather seamlessly integrated TDB and HoW content into the 10-20 leveling curve.
It's actually possible now to unreserverdly recommend Destiny to a new player.

Ok, it's a fun shooter...
Level 13 Titan, unlocked the moon and i have a nice scout rifle that works against wizards and captains with shields...
Might try the other 2 classes until level 6 or so to see which i like best...

But who could have predicted that the moment the new content went live the servers would get peak demand, I'm actually surprised they haven't scheduled mainteance for this week, they seem to do it every Iron Banner week. Still at least something new to play for awhile at least
