Yeah, Hopper could bring some fun to some otherwise so-so movies.

I'm surprised that with all these mentions of favourite performances, no one has mentioned "Hoosiers" or "True Romance". His scene with Walken in the latter was the best part of the movie (pity he didn't work with Tarantino again), and his performance in "Hoosiers" was so sad and endearing...he totally deserved his Oscar nomination for it. I hope he was just joking when he said, "I have to play Frank because I AM FRANK" about why he appeared in "Blue Velvet". Hell of an actor.
