I hope if this season of Picard is like a TNG Season 8, that it is a definitive send-off for the concept of TNG. TNG had to move beyond TOS' shadow, and its long past overdue newer Trek move beyond TNG's. Does this mean never returning to characters and ideas from TNG? Maybe not, but right now is a good time for The Big Goodbye.
