A Few Points on Shipping Charges:
It has been pointed out to us that the shipping/packaging charges were not proportional, and did not account for order size (the larger the order, the less percentage is required to package and ship it).
We also had some difficulty, as overseas orders cost us much more to ship - but Paypal was not set-up to accomodate this. As a result, Strategic Design has been 'eating' the extra cost of overseas orders.
We have been working out a formula within the Paypal system to make it more equitable, and have implemented it.
The new shipping/packaging charge calculations are based on a 'step' system worked out empirically using past orders.
Note to Overseas customers (outside of North America): You will notice a VAT/sales tax when you order. This is not actually a tax, but a additional-charge to compensate for the greater expense involved in shipping overseas orders.
PayPal does not have a way of implementing different shipping rates based on location, and this seems to be the only way to do it.
Thanks to those of you who have helped by bringing this point up. Special thanks to Cary L. Brown.
