Defiant Bridge - Sketchup...

Been teaching myself Google Sketchup over the last few days so made a start modelling the Defiant bridge, so far so good really. A lot of this is guess work, as I cant find any exact dimensions for the set but I think I'm pretty close. Just working off as many photos of it as I can really. I'll keep updating as I go...

The console section is coming together now. The blue cushioning round the edges is proving a pain though, I may come back to that.

Very nice! I still need to learn this. You're getting some great results so far; looking forward to the completed version.

Hey! This is looking swell! I'm also looking forward to the end result. And can't wait for you to start the engineering room! ;)

Oh dude- you should copy photo textures from the defiant bridge and use that in your SU!!! That would be sweet. You can have all the panels too!

thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback. I'm hitting the difficult bit now, curved surfaces! Cutting the lighting ports out of the curves section round the ceiling is going to be a nightmare I can tell, I've started drawing it, but skectup wont extrude from curved surfaces at all so not sure how I'm going to handle that one, watch this space.

I've not updated this thread in a little while but I've still been beavering away at it. I'm having to re-do a lot of the ceiling sections, hence them being gone at the moment. Here's where I am so far...
