Deep Space Nine circa 2420 *model*

Hi all! With a recent birthday came a digi camera and with a new camera comes loads of new pics! Here is a DS9 model I did recently. I've done one before years ago but after several moves it was junk.

With this new one I went about it a different way. This one is years after the show when Bajor is a member of the Federation and as such Starfleet gave DS9 the much needed refit she needed, making it truly a Starfleet station. In other words I gave it more of a Starfleet paint job, nice and clean. I had several Trek micro machines and attached them to make the station look busy, I thought it came out pretty nice.

I had a DS9 model back in the 90's myself, but I don't remember the design of the model being like that (not the paint job, but the plastic molding being a bit more bubbly in those photos compared to the original model I had.)

Nice though.

I remember building this model myself when it forst came out, I had a great time dry-brushing on all the weathering and so forth. Quite large, but not too sturdy if you dropped it. :) You must have some decent glue or armatures to keep those micro machines in place.

Your paint job on the MM Constellation sure looks a lot better than the Stargazer's default yellow. I'll admit I'm not sure why that used that color for the ship, since it was clearly based on Picard's shiny model.

obviously, it was made of pure gold-pressed latinum.
that's the real reason why the ferengi hated him so much.

Thanks all!

Wow! I would have thought there were more Niners that would have liked this... Modeling has never been too big on this forum...

As for the MM's, a little well placed super glue is all ya need!:)
