December to February Challenge - Stargate Galactica B5: The Return of the Expanse

Thanks everyone.

I've decided to opt for something a little different this time around. Your challenge for the next couple of months is to write a fanfic story that isn't in the Trekverse but rather a different fandom, whether that's a TV show, film franchise, comics, novel, etc.

Despite the Challenge title, it doesn't have to be sci-fi based, it can be any genre you like it just has to exist out there somewhere (so from a well-established sprawling franchise that's slowly taking over the world, to a single film whose characters and setting you love, to that one TV show you fondly remember that was cancelled after only a few episodes).

Hopefully this empty canvas will inspire plenty of folks to get creative over the Festive Season.

Entries due by high noon (GMT) on January 31 2021 with voting to follow for a few days after that.

Enjoy!

ETA: The deadline is extended until February 27. Hopefully, this will give us some challenge entries.

Although it's currently 'on hiatus', I write a screenplay-style series called "Metropolis: SCU", a spin-off of "Smallville". Would it be alright to post some details and links to episodes as a response to this challenge?

New member here and I love to write.

I am a bit confused by this challenge. Is it really this open-ended? Anything - I mean anything goes

Great to meet you all!

Yes. So long as it is an established fandom/franchise then entries are welcome.

There have been times the challenge has a very specific topic or theme and there are no entries, so I decided on casting a wide net, hopefully to spark some thoughts and interest. Doesn’t always work though.

I was struck by inspiration and instead of doing what I had planned to do I wrote a story over the weekend, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
To the Rescue

It would be a bit awkward if it remained the only entry, though. ;)
