With the month nearly over, the Art Challenge Panic has set in! I'm going to have to get my dinosaur book out to give the anatomy at least a vaguely realistic appearance but, until then, here is a two minute sketch of a stegosaurus in a 2370s Starfleet uniform:
Thanks, Klaus. I couldn't get that throw-away line from the Art Challenge blurb out of my head. After a bit of research from Keiron Pim's The Bumper Book of Dinosaurs, and William Stout's wonderful dinosaur art, here's a more realistic stegosaurus: I'm going to try a different pose next - one where the rank insignia and combadge can be seen. I might even try colouring it in!
Drawing stegosaurs head on is very frustrating! Well, it is for me, so I ended up drawing some sort of pterosaur instead! I've also had a go at a brachiosaur plastered in 23rd century Federation Starfleet starship livery, but that didn't come out as I'd envisaged, so I'll revisit the 24th century stegosaurus if I get time.
