Debtor's Planet

Has anyone read "Debtor's Planet"? I really enjoyed it. I thought it was great to use Ralph Offenhouse as an expert on the Ferengi.

Agreed. I'm glad he found a new purpose in life after all. And he is a perfect choice for Ambassador to the Ferengi. :)

Doesn't Troi have a Drunk! episode in this novel?

Yep. The author seemed to have a pretty idea of what a drunk Troi was going to look like later in First Contact...though admittedly a little less belligerent in their version. ;)

I rather enjoyed the concept behind this novel, even though it had the TNG version of the Ferengi (a little hard to picture now after seeing the DS9 version for so long), and some wild-ass guessing about the Cardassians and how their command structure works that gave me some serious ":cardie:" moments.

I liked the information about what happened to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise and Offenhouse's son in the novel the most interesting.

I'll tell you who needed to meet the ferengi: Harry Mudd. It'd be the perfect fiancial cage match.

And after she towels herself off, Vash asks, "So, what do you guys call yourselves?"

Harry, Cyrano, and the Ferengi, simultaneously: "The Aristocrats!"
