Really, all you had to say was "Tom Smith" and people would have flocked to it. He's pretty much a god among men. He also submitted one of the videos on youtube for an application to the Evil League of Evil. Pretty much the funniest video ever.

Who is "Tom Smith" and what is he generally known for?

He is a filker (singer who uses existing music with new lyrics, generally telling a science fiction type story) probably best known for the song "Babylon Five Years" set to the Barenaked Ladies song "One Week."

He is a convention staple, and there are a lot of fans of his on this board.

You can listen to dozens of his songs for free on www.tomsmithonline.com. Alien Adventures is one of my favorites. It's the story of Alien (the Ridley Scott movie) set to the Animaniacs theme song.
