I liked her in non-Starfleet uniforms better, nice to have her as a Betazed onboard and wearing what was right for the character.

It certainly moves us away from STARFLEET IS THE MILITARY.

Only, it didn't quite work. The cheerleader outfit did little to establish her cred as a mental health professional and as a new age woman. Letting her switch back and forth was the right way to go.

Trying to come up with an official list of Deanna Troi's wardrobe.

Off the top of my head there was:

Silver(ish) outfit.
Purple outfit.
Turquoise/Emerald dress.
Eventual Starfleet uniform (post-Chain of Command.)

Am I missing anything?

I don't think it's ever stated outright, but I get the impression that the turquoise dress she wore (with the boots) was a more traditional Betazoid outfit. Does anybody know anything about this outfit? It's actually my least favorite of her outfits. I like her best in the jumpsuits.
She looks incredible in the bunny suits!

There was that episode where she was transported naked to the Ferengi vessel. Omg, they were so lucky..

Green dress with tights was also nice. Holodeck Greek Deanna/mudbath Deanna is also a favorite.

Agreed.

I also thought it was right that she should feel comfortable.

It is the 24th century after all!

She should be encouraged to wear the bunny suit if it is her desire. Tbh, I would have thought it boosted crew morale and kept a relaxed atmosphere too.

I wish Troi wore that cheerleader outfit for far longer than just the pilot--throughout the first season, at least. *sigh*

Then, to make it worse, Jellico had to make her dress in the standard uniform, which she kept wearing even after he left. Jellico, that bastard....:klingon:

Sean
I believe he was court marshalled and sent to a Klingon maximum security labor camp as punishment for the order he gave Troi that day.

Deanna should be allowed to wear whatever she feels comfortable with or nothing at all if she wants! :D

So far your posting history has given us "banging in the holodeck" and "Troi should have worn less clothes".

You need to get outside more.

Did anyone mention the Romulan Tal Shiar officer's uniform?

(I didn't read all four years of postings)

:)

If she was going to be out of uniform, she should have worn the stuff she wore in "Man of the People."

No, I never understood why she wore those ugly unitards or that ugly blue thing when she looked a lot better in uniform. I mean, I could actually taker her seriously in uniform, and I think she acted seriously at that point, so I think her character became more impactful in the later seasons.
