I haven't had that much time over the past week so I'm only up to chapter 6 (killing off the pods, about to face the leviathon).

I absolutely adore the game. It scares the fuck out of me every time I play it (and I always play it late at night with the lights off and volume up).

While I've obviously only played half of the game I'd give the first half an almost perfect score.

I'm mid-way through chapter 9.
I won't say how or way because I don't want to spoil anything but the Brute I'm fighting is kicking my ass!
I think I'm going to reload my last save point because the task you have to do right before the brute fight has to be perfect or it takes away half your health if you get tagged.

Well you can always count on some idiot that has to be the first one to beat a certain game in the first 15 min of owning it and run back to GS to trade it in for 1/4th of what he paid for it .

Dead Space sounds amazing but I'll definitely have to wait on that for a year or so till the price drops. Still, there's always 3 year old games to get!

I'm in chapter 9 now, not as far as PKerr seems to be though...at least, as of the other night that is.

Great game...Maybe the best I've played on the Xbox 360 yet.

I'm picking up Farcry 2 and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows this week. And Fallout 3 next week. Man, I love video games.

My Xbox 360 and I are celebrating our second anniversary together, and no red rings yet! Best relationship I've ever had!

I almost have to agree that DS is possibly the best game I've yet played on the 360 - HL2 remains my favorite game ever, but I played that on the PC.

I was thinking about getting Fable II this week, but IGN's review gives me serious reservations about dropping $60 on it.

Twilight, The Evil Dead I'm sure without a doubt Dead Space is my favorite Xbox 360 game.
Dead Space made my 90th Xbox 360 game.

The Evil Dead I celebrated my 2 year anniversary by upgrading to an Elite.

My Girlfriend now has my original 360 and it's still going strong though it dosen't see near the same game time I put on it.

I can tell you this for sure, my original 360 had more game time on it than I'm embarrassed to admit, If it blew up in my face and I looked like one of those black face/powder burned cartoon characters I'd go out and buy another without washing my face first.

My list this week and next includes Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3.
Gonna wait till after Gears 2 before I fill the rest of my list as I'm also picking up the 3 disk version of the Hulk and next week I'm getting the Dead Space animation.

OH BTW I did some internet price matching and Best Buy has the cheapest Dead Space: Downfall price. $14.99.
Circuit City was the next cheapest at $17.99
Gonna get Circuit City to price match then use the coupon that came with the game to get it around $11.00...Not too bad.

Speaking of which, did you hear about Episode 3? 2010?! So much for episodic content... I mean, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait... I hope it's a bit longer than the previous 2 episodes if we have to wait so long.

My friend recently experianced some trouble with his Xbox 360 and apparently it isn't under the terms of warranty so he can't get a new one or get it fixed. Maybe I will buy myself an Elite and let him have my old Xbox 360 if he'll flip me some cash toward the Elite.

But as silly as it is, I have an afinity for my 360. It's gotten me this far, why move on from it now?

Do you think the Elite is a noticeable upgrade from the original system? Do Elites have a better track record with red rings? I'd hate to get a new system and then experiance a hardware failure, haha.

I notice the start up is a bit quicker but that's about it.
As far as having a better track record, it's my understanding they do.

For me, the black console is just so much nicer looking on my TV stand and I really dig having 120gb as well.

I am actually leaning towards Dead Space because the other two games coming out (Fable II and Fallout 3) are RPGs and I get a good amount of RPG goodness from playing WoW. Not that I won't get those games, I would just rather get a different Genre than one of the games I am playing. My current rotation is WoW, The Force Unleashed, and Rock Band 2 and a survival horror game might be the right one to add into the mix.

HOLY CRAP!!!

Man did I get my ass (and still am) handed to me in chapter 10.

Right now I'm low on health, 2 hits away from dying.
Low on ammo, 8 rounds in the pulse rifle, 12 in the plasma cutter, 2 in the line gun and 1 in the force gun.

1 stasis shot left.
1 node

I open a door and hear a Necromorph coming out of a wall so naturally I run because there is a lift to the next level with a save station and node upgrade station.
I figure I'll update a weapon and maybe get more ammo.
and save real quick if I can.

NOT.

Everything gets locked down for the next round of baddies.

I just realized the (don't know what you call them) Necromorph that are about the size of a dog, bat like with the hummingbird looking beak animates the dead into more Necromorps.

I thought they were pretty much attacking anything that moved because you can't really see the action take place (or I didn't til now).

Anyhoo this guy runs around and animate like 20 bodies and they stomp my ass like 10 times til I realized what in fact he was doing.

So I come through the door freeze the one he gets to first (you can't stop him) run over pump enough rounds in him to kill him and mange to kill the one he animates after taking one hit.

Take the list above now and cut it by a third .

I upgrade my line gun and save the game.
Now I move on and go through a door only to have one of the tentacles grab me (scare the shit out of me) and drag me down a hole before I can pump the few rounds I have left into him.

I guess I'm gonna have to sell something in order to get some ammo to take the Fu@#ker out.

Ya know it dosen't agrovate me to have to do that, I kinda dig how you have to have a strategy on how you upgrade yourself, weapons or stasis.
